Majestic Cafe [Porto, Portugal]

http://www.cafemajestic.com/en/Utilities/Homepage.aspx

Address: Rua Santa Catarina, 112 4000-442 Porto

Hours: Monday to Saturdays from 9:30am to midnight

Reservations: Can be made by emailing reservas@cafemajestic.com or calling +351 222 003 887 (I went to the Majestic cafe twice during my stay in Porto during non-peak dining hours and was able to get a seat without a reservation)

Famous for: being the oldest coffee shop in Porto (opened in 1921); beautiful interior of the cafe; their dessert called “Rabanadas Majestic Style” = 2.50 euros (it’s kind of like a french toast, but tastes amazing – you can see what it looks like in one of my photos below)

Recommended for: those want to experience a cafe that began from the Belle Époque times; those who are looking for a dessert place in Porto with great ambience

  • I didn’t try myself, but they also have a breakfast menu for 17.50 EUR (so it would be a good place to grab breakfast before starting your day in Porto)
