Sirocco is the restaurant that’s also on top of the Lebua hotel.
Famous for: the view of Bangkok from an open-air bar on the 63rd floor of the Lebua Hotel, The Dome on the 63rd floor, for being the place where they filmed Hangover 2.
Scene of The Dome at Lebua Hotel from Hangover 2:
Recommended for: those who want to see experience an open-air bar with the view of Bangkok, those who want to experience the opposite of the Khao San Road scene (it’s more like a Manhattan Hotel bar feel – almost makes you feel like you’re not in Bangkok as it’s so extreme from what you see in the streets of Bangkok), those who want to visit the Bangkok scene from Hangover 2
Other things to note:
- Drinks are definitely over-priced (I had the Hangovertini, which was 490 Thai Bahts and there was 10% service charge + 7% VAT on top of that. So in total, it was about $18 USD incl. tip & tax, which is a lot more expensive that the typical drink prices you will find in Thailand.
- If you’re looking to have dinner, there is a restaurant called Sirocco, which is also on the top of The Dome at Lebua. For details about Sirocco, click here.
- Vertigo Restaurant and Moon Bar at Banyan Tree Bangkok are also roof top restaurant/bar in Bangkok, similar to The Dome at Lebua. The Dome at Lebua is more well-known by tourists, because of Hangover 2. You can check out/compare the menus and the views and decide which one you like better!
